LSP Annual Reference
The Cherwell Local Strategic Partnership, which brings together public, private and community sector organisations within Cherwell, is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the local community strategy ‘Cherwell, Our District, Our Future’. Every year the Partnership holds an annual conference which aims to bring together Cherwell communities so that they can help shape local priorities, have their views heard and to hear about key local achievements and projects.
This year the annual conference is taking place in
Kidlington and will be focusing on the Big Society and helping to shape what this means for
Cherwell. The guest speaker is Kelvin Thomas from Oxford United who will be talking about the importance of
community engagement and outreach work with young people. The event also provides great opportunities to
network with local community representatives, elected members from both Cherwell District and Oxfordshire
County Councils, senior managers from the local NHS, Thames Valley Police and the Oxford and
This year we are also offering a workshop called ‘Funding, Finding It’ where participants will have an opportunity to discover what funding opportunities are available and how to apply for them.
