Review of polling stations 2011

Every council in England and Wales must undertake a review of all of the polling districts and polling places in its area by Friday 30 December 2011. Our review starts on 1 August 2011. The review will look at the polling districts and places within the boundaries of Cherwell that comprise the Banbury, the Henley and the Oxford West & Abingdon parliamentary constituencies. This includes looking at the polling places/stations where people vote to make sure that they are suitable in terms of offering reasonable facilities for voting and good access for electors who are disabled.

We will publish the findings of the review and its proposals for any changes by mid September and will make the final decision on 29 September 2011. Any amendments to the polling districts or polling places will be implemented in the electoral register published on 1 December 2011. These amendments will take effect for any election held after that date.

The event is not currently available for consultation.
